Is pizza good as wedding food?

Pizza is terrific wedding food, yes. It might not be ‘traditional’, but for couples wanting a relaxed, rustic celebration of their nuptials, pizza helps to create an atmosphere like no other. No pomp. No ceremony. Just friends and family gathering to share the joy – it’s what pizza was made for.

Is pizza appropriate for a wedding breakfast?

Why not? It’s your day, right? If you have an intimate wedding planned with around 70 guests, a pizza wedding breakfast works beautifully.

Most mobile pizza ovens churn out 70 pizzas an hour, so you could either have pizzas laid out on a buffet for everyone to dig into and share. Or each guest can choose their own pizza and, table by table, your guests can head out to pick their choice up from the pizza van.

You might want your wedding pizza served to each table if you’d still rather have a sit-down wedding breakfast. And that’s OK, too. We offer this service for smaller weddings only.

Pizza is perfect for the party

Pizza for a wedding breakfast is one option, but if your guest list is longer than 70 people, it might be tricky to get everyone sitting down, eating at the same time. And that won’t help the speeches, cake cutting and first dance timings.

We’ve pulled our pizza van to weddings of couples who wanted us there for the whole evening. It’s a genius move! The best man has done his speech, everyone has raised a few glasses and the band has the party jumping … and the bar is constantly busy.

Then the munchies hit. And not much beats a pizza when you’ve been dancing for hours and drinking the night away with your best people.

How can a pizza can help my wedding?

There are the obvious benefits of having pizza at a wedding: you can eat it with your hands, you can have pizza toppings that everyone likes – and you can cater for all dietary needs, think vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free pizza, too.

But many people don’t think about are the less-obvious benefits. With an awesome band and the bar inside, often it’s hard to find space to catch up with friends and family you might not have seen for a while. Having a pizza van outside creates the ideal spot for people to hang out and chat.

How do I make pizza special for my wedding?

Pizzas create a sense of family, sharing and togetherness more than any other food. Some couples even have tiered wedding pizzas instead of a wedding cake. You can be as imaginative as you want with how much a part of the day they are and how you present your pizzas.

Next to our Land Rover pizza van, you can lay out long wood tables, string up fairy lights, decorate with pretty willow branches and cut round logs of wood to present your pizzas to your guests. You can even create toppings and pizza names that suit you and your story. It’ll be a wedding to remember.
